Family Food Fair
First Assembly of God hosted a Family Food Fair, sponsored by the Community Action Agency of South Central Michigan and other local agencies. Families of Battle Creek enjoyed nutritious snacks and nutritional information, participated in exciting games, voted for Battle Creek’s best chili, and enjoyed a meal provided by Fazoli’s. |

Arbor Academy’s Christmas Concert
First Assembly of God was pleased to be the location of Arbor Academy’s Annual Christmas Program this year. Each age group from the school participated and Santa grace us with a visit ! |

Bike Safety Day – Prairieview School
First Assembly of God sponsored a Bike Safety Day at our local Prairieview Elementary School. The Derek Edwards Memorial Fund provided free bike helmets for all the children. Get-a-way Sports conducted Bike Safety Checks and presented Skateboard and Bicycle Demonstrations. . The Battle Creek Bicycle Club provided Bike Safety Training. The Fun-on-the-Run Mobile showed up with games from Community Inclusive Recreation. B.C. Parks provided free bike give-a-ways. Other gifts were given away by the Prairieview PTA, Sam’s Club, and Old Country Buffet. |

New Orleans Clean-up
Our Element Youth Group sponsored a trip to the Gulf Region to help clean up the mess left by Hurricane Katrina. The group helped remove rubble caused by the storm and prepared houses for reconstruction. |

Bridges Out of Poverty
First Assembly was pleased to be the location of the “Bridges Out of Poverty” Expert-in-Residence seminar with Dr Ruby Payne on Wednesday, March 15. 1,700 educators and community leaders people attended this meaningful presentation! This seminar was a great way for our church people to get acquainted with the rewards of helping people out of their poverty. |

Unity in The Community
First Assembly of God was pleased to host a couple of Unity In The Community Services During the past year. Churches of all denominations came together to express our unity in Christ. |

Upward Basketball
Upward Basketball is a non-competitive, character-building sports program we host every Winter. Participants get a chance to interact with fellow students, build athletic skills, sportsman-like conduct, and play a great game of basketball. The Burmese Chin Community conducts training seminars and cultural celebration in the facilities of First Assembly of God. |

Hispanic Community
The Hispanic Community enjoys the hospitality of First Assembly of God and conducts numerous benevolent and cultural events in our facilities each year. We have an Hispanic Pastor on our staff. |

Deaf Community
The Deaf Community of Battle Creek enjoys monthly socials in our facilities. Our church provided Sign Language interpretation in our services, as well as promotes Sign Language classes on a regular basis. We have a Deaf Pastor on our staff. |

Prairieview Elementary PTA Socials
Members of First Assembly of God are pleased to volunteer as chaperones and helpers at the PTA parties and social events of the Prairieview Elementary, our neighborhood school. |
